And here is the bad news post.
My brother went out of a window and he will be paralyzed from his his nipple line down for the rest of his life. Currently he's breathing on a ventilator because his broken ribs punctured his lungs and they need time to heal. His spine is completely separated where the T4 used to be.
FYI: The spine is divided into three sections, and the higher the nerve tissue damage the higher the paralysis. Go to WEbMD.com for more info.
He will be 29 this August. It is almost impossible to estimate how long he'll be in the hospital, but it could be up to a year.
I have no clue what to do anymore.

I'm truly sorry to hear about your brother. Spinal injuries are hard for everyone to deal with. I hope that his recovery goes well, but as you said, it could take a while. Sometimes, the body can have miraculous ways of healing itself. That must have been one hell of a fall. How in the world did he go through a window? Anyway, stay strong. Thing are not hopeless. You and the family will get through this.

Yeah, what he said.
That's one of my worst fears, that I'll break my neck doing something I should have known better than to try and never being able to run again.
