If you aren't the one fortunate SG person who's seen my little apartment in North Hollywood/Van Nuys you wouldnt know that I live alone in a bachelor with no proper kitchen, and that it is in the shape of a rectangle. I love it to pieces, just sometimes I would like there to be a little more space and maybe a kitchen
(EVERYONE should live on their own!!)
So as an experiment to create more room in here, I turned my bed to the side against the wall (along the long side of the rectangle).
It was a failed experiment...not just because I couldn't get into my closet afterwards (stupid fixed wall heater taking up space) but because now I had to sleep sideways and in the morning the light hit me wrong, I woke up from weird dreams thinking I was facing the wrong direction, I didnt sleep well at all, and sometimes I would kick the closet doors and a thunderous BOOM that would wake me (and the neighbors, no doubt) in the middle of the night.
The room just didnt FEEL right, you know?
In the 3 days I had it this way the extra space didnt even matter anymore, I just didnt feel comfortable in here...so, the other night I moved my bed back to its original position.....
I KNEW I should have gotten a FOLDING futon bed instead of the fixed flat one
Actually NO, it was that thought that prompted me to move it in the first place...but now I know I made the right choice
So Im curious, do YOU live alone? What kind of apartment do you live in and do you love it as much as I love mine?!
