Big giant gargantuan weekend on so many levels. Not even going to go into it here. What I am going to say is it was fun seeing some of you at Coachella, I had a blast performing (which was really more like having access to shade, free beer and clean bathrooms and less like actually performing), and now I'm dog tired. And ... strangely ... happy.
Nervous about tomorrow though. Have to come clean to my supervisor about why I was gone all day today. Truth is, my job has been a low priority for a long time.
Today was the next day in a long line of days when my job has gotten in the way of my passion. My passion was to spend my weekend watching two close friends declare their love, going to Coachella and being a part of it, and writing about Coachella today. But after the 2 hours of sleep and the 5 (yes, five) hours of traffic, I was in no place to be working. And then I needed/wanted to write my review. So I just didn't go to work. Or rather, I went and then left. And I got caught.
I could lie. I could try to run from it, hoping my supervisor won't really notice. Or I can explain that I was tired from doing what I really want to be doing, have been going through a lot of emotional things, and may need to take some time off and reassess what I'm doing.
Is this how the next step happens?
p.s. what's a girl gotta do to get on sgla?

Good luck with the supervisor. Great seeing you, too...
Oh yeah, and I forgot to properly fill you in on the story of screw off. Best explained if you read at least the first post in this thread.
You looked great in the nurse outfit, and thanks for giving us a place to chill for a bit.
XOXO
