xm radio? enjoy

I have conventional public radio with poor reception on a very broken old tapedeck/cdplayer/radio. That's what you get for living right down town. When I do get reception, it's heavenly.

I think we have XM radio at work. Whatever it is, it plays a lot of classic rock, 80's, and 70's funk. I'd lose my fucking mind without that station.

I like your holiday memory. My favourite was the year my sister and I opened all our presents and were slightly disappointed by the fact that we didn't get bikes (like we'd been hinting for months ) My dad pointed to two small wrapped cards that we'd missed. They were treasure maps. We followed them and found clues along the way, eventually, of course, finding two bikes. My dad rocked.

I don't buy christmas presents. Hmm, that sounds smug. It does make things a whole lot less stressful, not getting or giving.

I do the same thing on my days off. I spend a whole lot of time thinking of all the great things I wanna do, then waste the whole day not making a decision on which one I want to do. I'm terrible at picking one thing out of many.

crushes...tension...i wonder why we create these things for ourselves. i guess to bring us back to self-love (and other triple-x stuff).

I will check out Minnie Driver. I didn't know she sang, but I certainly respect your judgement, and you don't have to sell it to me.

It's funny how those close calls have the full range of emotions. I've had a couple, and yes, even though I don't want children, there was some sadness, and a little what if.

I got a new scarf. It's bright orange and purple and utterly inadequate for the insane cold where I live, but I'm looking forward to wearing it a) as a boa and b) in spring when it's not quite so nuts here.

Did not know Minnie Driver had a CD out...hm! Interesting! Wish we could be gym buddies...your energy motivates me. Oh, goodness.

Life is hard then you die...but I still want to live as long as possible, even if it is hard. It's an amazing thing to be alive, even if it is a difficult struggle. Hope the journey gets easier for you soon...

I noticed in your profile you said you like strange vocabulary words. Have you ever read Catch-22? It has words in it like infundibuliform, mulled claret, and corpulent; among many, many others. I think it's fun to read it with a dictionary in one hand. In fact, I think that's how it must have been written...lol

The fall season is wonderful. Is it silly to wonder how many people just stop and admire the colors while out walking? I often wonder if people simply stop for a moment and admire anything anymore.

I'm conditioning myself to like actual coffee. It is very difficult.

All of that sounds really cool, well, besides the Halloween alone thing, hope it was fun nonetheless. Congrats on the promotion and the award.

I feel your pain on the busy thing, I've been out of my mind busy lately.
