Do you ever get the feeling that someone you think you know really well is an entirely different person from who you thought they were?
I really don't like Brooklyn anymore. I like Brooklyn as a thing, as an idea, as something intangible, but I don't like living there. I used to love it, and now I just get depressed as soon as I cross...

Hey I made Vientanamese sandwiches from scratch the other day and they were almost as fucking amazing as Nicky's. They were vegetarian though, but sublime. I was very impressed.

I grew up in Northern, NJ about five miles from Manhattan.

Even though when I visit my family, I have a much better view of the skyline than I do living in Brookly, everytime I go there I'm constantly reminded of why I left in the first place.

Then again its Northern NJ, which I don't even like as a concept. It is great for useless trivia though.

I often forget how much I actually dislike people. Which I guess is for the best.
I definitely did not like my history professor, who wanted a 15 page term paper with 30 sources. Fuck that bitch, she ain't gettin shit, except a complaint filed with the dean.

The nerve of some people -- its almost like they found something better to do than play on the internet.

My head feels like my brain has grown 30% since last night, and as a result my brain keeps pushing against my skull with such force that I think it might break.
I'm drinking pellegrino water straight from the bottle. Unfortunately it is warm.
A UPS guy came this morning with a package for my neighbor. I accepted it and went inside only to realize...

Nope, just dislocated my thumb and severely jammed my ring finger.

Not that is matters much, after last week's debacle I'd say we're pretty much out of the playoffs.

Its been ten days since I moved into my parents place. I feel like an anthropologist studying a native people in their secluded village.
Dr. Victoria Viscusi, Ph.D. in Geriatric Studies.
Anyhow, its been very strange being here. CNN is on all the time, there are so many butter cookies in the house, and my mom has three different type of denture fixatives. So, on...

So like you all know, I'm staying at my parents house this month. It really isn't all that bad, just tedious. This morning my father wanted to talk to me but I was on the telephone with an insurance company. I guess he never really got it through his head that I'm an adult, and that many of the things I do on a daily...

yes, bosses are idiots. lets punch them in the face. if i run into a huge bag of gold i'll open a bar and you can work there. i'll try and not be an idiot, but as you well know, that is impossible for me.

Ok ok ok...
I'm all moved into my parents place. It's ok I guess. They're not giving me a hard time about anything which is nice. My new job is ok too. Not awesome, but it's fine I guess.
Basically, I'm ok. Don't worry about me. Everything is fine, although it is a little boring.

I started my new job yesterday. It's nothing to write home about. I'm supposed to move out tomorrow, although I'm not even close to being packed.
Who wants to help me move? You get a free dinner out of it.

Blarghhh.

My smelly roommate makes the worst coffee ever. I've had maxwell house coffee that tasted better. She grinds it so fine that the bottom of your coffee cup is black when you finish drinking. It's so fucking gross.
I'm moving on Tuesday. I'm having trouble imagining living with my friend Jake. Often when I can't picture something happening it doesn't come to pass. I'm rather...

Great getting to FINALLY meet you last night!

Book suggestions eh?

If you haven't read it already, and you like grusome books, American Psycho. The book is a million times better (and more disgusting) than the movie.
stella_marie:
the only thing worse than drunk dialing is drunk dialing a blind date. i met up with the guy last night, made a couple bad drunken decisions, and now have bite marks to remind me of them. needless to say, there is no second date. i should have waited for the meal. he was a nice guy and all, just a bad way to meet someone.

An anti-smoking commercial just made me want a cigarette.

I've set out to become as well-read as I possibly can. I've made a list of books that everyone has read (although most people actually haven't) and I'm going to read all of them. It's 75 books in all, so I've got a good year's worth of books to read.
I got this idea to do...

What's up with the comment above mine?

Anyway, yes, I did finally watch that video, and it was hilarious. I just read that article you sent me - it's a refinement of a technique that was discussed in Scientific American a few months ago, it's pretty interesting, I may still have the article. It has a lot of potential for surgery I think.

What's on your book list? I'd be very interested to check it out - I've been basically doing the same thing for the past ten years or so (mixing things up a bit, of course, so I get to read fun books as well as informative books each year.) I think you'll like it.
