Well, Thanksgiving is a week away, so I figured I'd post about it!
What is everyone's Thanksgiving tradition, if you have one? My grandma, uncle and aunt and cousins from Chattanooga all come down to my house (Mom's) and eat here. We always cook vegetarian fried chicken (Mom and the company are vegetarian), garlic mashed potatoes from scratch of course, green bean casserole (my favorite!), homemade rolls, cranberry sauce of course, and of course, dressing (eh, I'm actually not a fan). We always have three pies to choose from for dessert--apple, pumpkin, and pecan. All homemade.
I'm excited! I have to work the day before and the day after Thanksgiving, and seeing how I work super early I'm not that happy but at least I will be getting holiday pay and still getting the actual holiday off.
=) Anyways. I've seen all my friends playing the "thankful" game on Facebook or whatnot, and I hate to do things that the crowd is doing. But I still feel like I should mention things I'm thankful for. So, I'm thankful for a nice house, a great family, a great job, a wonderful boyfriend, amazing pets, my knowledge and having the opportunity to continue my education, a car that works, a new (to me) car soon, friends, the ability to communicate with them (phone, internet, etc), entertainment! (music, xbox, etc). And the list goes on. I tend to be a pessimist sometimes so I need to consciously remind myself of the things I have to be grateful for.
