I just discovered Chelsea Wolfe. He last album (Abyss) is amazing. Reminds me a bit of a cross between Zola Jesus and Mona Mur.
Not so keen on her whimsical folk stuff (that's been done to death and zzzzzzz) but the slightly heavier stuff is really interesting.
The new Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds album is alright. Very singular in tone (understandable given its basically a man coming to terms with the death of his child) but still a good record.
I long for the days of The Birthday Party though, I kinda hope Cave wanders back down that frantic road again.
New Pig is excellent, as I already gushed over, and Meatloaf's new album... not even Jim Steinman, Ellen Folley and Karla Devito could make that pile of shit listenable.
