What a weekend
I went to Orlando as a Delegate to the Florida State Democratic Convention. It was a lot of fun, I just wish I was a little less sick for it. I take a day off of work for the first time since January and then I get sick for the first time literally in about 4 years. Fuck. Either way, it was cool. Getting to meet a lot of the State and Federal senators and representaives.
For those of you who don't know, the Florida Dem Party is currently going at it with the National Dem Party over the date of the primary election. Because Florida legislation decided to push it up to January so that it'd have more influence on the primary, the national party is punishing Florida by stripping it of its delegates to the National Convention. Confused yet? Ok.
Well, the four states that make up the usual first states to have their primaries or caucuses formed the "Four State Pledge", stating that they'll shun any candidate that campaigns in Florida. Thus none of the delegates were at this year's State Convention. So I was also saddened by this...
But being sick kinda superceded this fact. Egh, still sick.
But Friday Patience and I did get a chance to hit up SeaWorld and renew my year pass to Busch Gardens. Tis awesome, I recommend it highly. Also got to hang out with Shelwel and do lunch and hang out at the resort we were staying at.
I have a feeling I'm not the person for this job and this job is not for me. I dunno what I'm going to do in the mean time, I'm still thinking about joining the military, just have to lose about 10 lbs and get into a bit better aerobic shape. I've got the Disney Marathon coming up in January, but I need to start hiting the pavement a bit more for a bit longer. I'm trying to get about 20-25 miles in a week and do some weights, but I seem to have a hard time balancing time at work with that for myself. It's ok, I get my weekends. I think I'll have to do Habitat this weekend or something. Anyway, be easy all. I'm gonna go destress.

I DO NOT need a detox from BNOC, I am not drinking that much, or enough, depending on how you view things. Personally I think it's not enough. Though I should be getting back before Thanksgiving. Our graduation is the morning of the 16th and I plan on making a hard drive back, so I think I might make it by Sunday night (the 18th) or sometime Monday.
I'd say if you really want to do the military thing we could work out together, but I'm pretty sure you could out run my ass.
