So... the last five days or so have been very... not-so-mundane.
Guess i'll have to start with the SGDC Pajama Party, cuz that's where the weirdness began, i'd say. A lot of firsts that evening: spin-the-bottle (however did i miss out on this fun little bit of recreation previously in life?), Vodka (i'll never drink that straight... the little bit that was mixed in the sprite was quite enough), and as a result of the aforementioned game, kissed a guy (or ten). I could live without doing that again, but i was thoroughly made up for by the frequent making out with most of the ladies present, most notably one, as i'm sure all of you who were there remember... cuz DAMN she can kiss! (and for the record, no we didn't "hook-up" that night, or any night following) So a good time was had by all, definitely.
Saturday i had to wake up and head to work. Work was ok, but the cool part came afterward when i got a ride home with Annie, a girl i'd been talking to for a little while. Showed her some of my modeling pictures, as well as my own photography (after getting the power to come back on... no idea how it went out), and we set up a date for monday night. More on that later. She left, i stayed up for a little while longer and then collapsed.
Sunday, Kittentaboo and i headed out to Harrisonburg to shoot with a photographer neither of us had ever met, but who'd contacted both of us individually with an interest in shooting. Happy coincidence there. The shoot was different, certainly. He has a different method than either of us were used to so it took some adjusting. But he was REALLY professional; had the super-fan, HUGE scroll backdrops (which somehow i was still too tall for) and this camera that i want to steal while he sleeps. Got some good shots, i think, but i won't know for sure until he sends me my cd later this week. He wants both of us to come back though, so i think that bodes well, and he wants to refer me to another photographer in Richmond, and told me to start thinking about a fee. I guess i'll have to go thru my agent to take care of that though. I'm not sure.
When i got home from that, i recieved some rather bad news. Nikki has to move out. Apparently due to the fact that her father has just gotten a new mortgage (i think that's the reason), he no longer qualifies to be her cosigner and as a result she no longer qualifies to be on the lease. Suck. So now we have to find a new roommate. REALLY fast. So, any of you DC locals with a job and a hankering to get out of where you are, gimme a buzz!
Monday i skipped color theory because i was so tired, went to animation class and left early to do another bodypaint shoot with Leah (i'll put some up later, of course) and then i had my date with Annie. We had fun; good conversation, great dinner (i paid of course, because i'm a gentleman), but no sparks. Walked around Chinatown and then metro'd over to Georgetown and walked around there for a bit before she took a taxi home. Ah well.
Tonight i couldn't get online for the longest time. But i think it was just because God wanted me to do my color theory homework first. Got it done and voila! Here i am, updating you lovely people on the goings on in my life. Was a busy last few days.
