2 weeks into a relationship with a rather incredible gal. Definitely "The One" material except...

in 14 months she goes back to Poland to finish her PhD (in molecular biology, heh). After that...hard to say.

But for right now, things are better than they've been in a long time.

Right...updating!

Dragon*Con was absolutely amazing. Great guests (including Carrie Fisher, Martin Landau, and WTF Ernest Borgnine), great bands (much love especially for Abney Park, Hellblinki, and new fave Frenchy and the Punk). Friends new to the con enjoyed themselves and already purchased their memberships for next year. You should, too.

It's been a good couple of weeks. Friends held a 4th of July party yesterday that drew plenty of guests, primarily from the local belly-dance community and their menfolk. Spring break! Which means I get to work on all the papers, projects, graduation prep, NCLEX prep, car maintenance, resume` wrangling, job applying and other entertainments. Fun.

So are u actually going to be a surgical nurse or do u guys just do a little bit of everything in the field to obtain your degree? I always wondered how that worked for RNs because there are just HUNDREDS of extremely varying ways to make a career in nursing, so I would assume if u were to "specialize" in something that you'd have to take specific classes in that department, right?

I can't believe I've watched you go from first yr to your last semester! I am always so envious of ppl that have their shit so together that they can pull off going to school full time and surviving without having to move back home.
