Good morning, all! It is a beautiful day, that has started well- i am just dreading the rest of it
I have to go into work, get yelled at for probably more than one thing, say my piece about how I feel I've been treated and things i think she could have done to offer me more support, and hopefully put in my two weeks by next week, depending on the interview with the DM of PacSun...the only shitty part about changing jobs is that, while the pay and hours are comparable, i don't have benefits...which is HUGE...i get that, but it isn't worth my sanity. Plus, my hubby and I figured out that if we both quit smoking, it would probably cover a cobra-type plan for the family...which is crappy but, la vie...i am not driving myself crazy in that store. i am also taking a civil service test so I have that to fall back on if the money doesn't cover enough...
I've worked in higher volume stores than this and NEVER had such a feeling of utter helplessness: It's like working in JCPennies with only one other person on the floor to help you. 3 different departments: DB, DBW, and Petites...plus the entire store needs to be flipped for a July floor set and the new merchandise isn't on the floor because no one has been there to do it...FUCK IT! I'm done!
Plus, we had a secret shopper and the store scored only 50 out of 100...i happened to be the cashier: and was told I was robotic...
ROBOTIC?! YES, yes i am when it comes to ringing a customer out- we are SUPPOSED to say the same things every time; it is quite difficult to come up with different words for EVERY FUCKING CUSTOMER! And one of the things i was graded on, I wasn't even aware of the policy on! Apparently, not walking the purchase around the cashwrap to the customer and lovingly putting the bags in their hands is a no-no...In the training video, it said to do that only if the customer seemed like they needed extra assistance (i.e. handicaps/ injuries, etc.) Whatever-

Soooo, needless to say: extra money is needed...i will be starting a website soon...if you are interested in anything, dream catchers, custom stationary, prints, anything else- let me know!!
until later, SG!

The hubby and I went a bit nuts with them last night
Wish me luck! Hopefully I don't get fired before I have a chance to quit!

I'm kind of land locked at home, for the next few days until I get paid. But if you wanna stop by I would be more than happy to sign it for you

Well hope it works out for you, sounds like a shitty deal at the shop. Hope you have a good interview and good rest of the day.
