When I sleep too much or eat just before bed I get weird weird dreams. Both are, I think, caused by the pain of sleeping too much (my back is farked) and the discomfort of acid reflux (which is what happens when I eat just before bed). Somehow this induces FUCKED up dreams for me.
In one dream, I was dog sitting my very old and geriatric doggy. Somehow, he kept multiplying. It was like he'd die... and then two more of him would suddenly appear. It became quite disturbing.
The one that really messed me up though had to do with something dumb I'd done in real life. I left the oven on. Like.... all night. I forgot to turn it off after cooking. At one point that night I heard a click and looked over at the oven to see if it was on but the light wasn't on and I couldn't read the dials from that distance. I assumed it was off. The next morning I woke up, realized it was on, and turned it off.
So the dream involves me partially waking up, laying in bed, and then I hear this click from the oven and I go, "oh no" and then BOOM! I rarely actually FEEL things, in dreams. This one I felt the compression wave of the explosion and then I jolted awake. I sat up in bed and stared into the dark recesses of my bathroom for a minute, somehow becoming convinced that there was a demonic black dog waiting in there to eat me. I sat for a while longer, talked myself out of the whole evil dog thing, and got out of bed.
I still checked the bathroom. Ya know... just in case. Then I double checked the oven, though I knew I'd turned it off this time. I couldn't get back to sleep so I just decided that was as good a time as any to get up.

That is the plan for tomorrow, as apparently (and unfortunately) the disc of Dead Like Me I got from netflix today is the wrong one. So I watched "Unbreakable" instead and found it as mediocre as I did the first time.
