another update from the sg user formerly known as notapervert, which now makes me.. well, I'll let you figure that one out.
so.. yeah.
Productivity was going along quite swimmingly, as I got a massive happy-boost from Coachella (picture extravaganza in the giant spoiler below). A funk was entered into, during which time I turned to activities consisting entirely of repetative tasks: cleaning the apartment, sorting cds, backing up computer files, and over the past few days, building a wall from jagged chunks of junked concrete.
For her senior project, a friend has constructed a performance space in conjuction with the display for her project. It's an architecture senior project that proposes to use the Alameda naval air station for youth activities. Kids would spend some time clearing weeds and helping to reinforce and remodel existing buildings. There would also be a performance space for made available for the kids to use to showcase creative artistic expression, be it spoken word, music, or martial arts, like Capoeira.
My friend's performance space working model is made almost entirely of reused materials from various sources in the area, and the seating is basically a pile of those concrete chunks piled up bleacher style, topped with grass clippings and sod to smooth it down for sitting.
It's been brain-numblingly fun and cathartic. Today I spent two hours alone hauling and sorting the chunks to help for easier construction.
Now about Coachella, most of my pictures were of the backs of peoples' heads, but I did manage to get a few decent pictures..

It's a prety good one.
Yeah I mean officially Prom is not a meet n greet but that's what it feels like to me.
It was supposed to be at Thee Parkside but that fell through I think.
Still was quite fun.
I'[m glad you liked that tidbit.
get onto myspleen if you have that kind of computer. They have so many torrents and the ability to ask for a re seed (which I did for "girl in gold boots" the one where "I had a beautiful mind!!" came from.) and has pretty good DL times.
