I really think I'm going to get my real estate license when I get to Kent.
The only problem is I'm not the kind of guy who cold calls people who are selling their house independently and tries to talk them into letting me be their agent, but I am the kind of guy that would be able to sell the house once it was on the market.
Another cool thing about a job like that is it's not an hourly job. So if I spend 12 hours in the office, I might not make a penny, but no one can bitch me out if I spend a few hours listening to the radio and fucking around online, and also it's highly constructive work. I might not be nailing an hourly wage, but I am busting my ass to make that big commission. That's the kind of variety I think I really need in a job. I make commissions now, and love it, but find that sometimes they are too small to chase when I could be making bigger money on side jobs. But when you're talking around five grand, that's one hell of a commission to chase.

Yeah but how many houses do you think you will sell during your first year , the real estate business is a blood thirsty world , no agency wants to take chances with unproven talent and the ones that are willing to take a chance with someone new to the business wont hold on to an unproductive agent who does not sell much during the first month or so
