Regarding my last journal entry, despite overwhelming opposition, I really like the Malibu. They're cheaper, lighter, easier to come by in great shape (lot of church cars and grocery getters to be found). Plus I like their lines when done right. The problem with the Monte is everyone and their mother has one AND if I had one, I'd have to go crazy with some insane electric blue flame paint job and all kinds of evil looking skulls mounted on it. Then it'd end up being some evil low rider and not a low-buck high performance street/strip car.
I was thinking, I might be able to make the Silver State Classic this year. I undoubtedly wouldn't have a race car ready to go by then, unless I got a job offer this afternoon, but my Dodge can do 100mph no problem. My only stumbling block would be the extra time needed to do the driving school. Still, it would be fun to sneak in some serious road racing while on my factory warranty.
My only problem with the Silver State is their requiring you to wear sponsor decals on your vehicle. That doesn't sit too well with me, but I'm sure they wouldn't damage a paint job, or no one would do it. Wonder how they'd react to a huge SG girl sticker on my tailgate?
