It looks like I might be getting a kick ass old school Cadillac Eldorado with my dream engine in it for real cheap. The only catch is it's in Sacramento and I'm kind of iffy about if it would make the drive back home. So I can either shell out $800 and wait almost a month to have it delivered, or take my chances and fly out there and spend about $500-600 on gas/hotels to drive it back home myself. I bet I can make that drive in three days or less...probably more cause I'd be cutting through my best friend's neck of the woods and would have to stop for some drunken street racing on abandoned New Mexico highways.
I have this bad feeling that if I do get it, I'll go to pick it up and it'll break down in the middle of fucking no where and I won't have enough money to tow it much farther then the next city, so I'll have to tow it to the next city, take a bus home, spend the following week outfitting my truck with a real tow package (something I need to do anyways) and then go back the following weekend to tow it home.
Fuck it, breaking down on the side of the highway builds experience, no? Course, it being winter and all I'll be sure to bring some firewood in the trunk in case I get snowed in or something over night.

When I was 15 a member of one of our local motorcycle gangs car got impounded and he told me I could have the car if I paid the $150 to get the car out of the impound yard , he just wanted what he had in the trunk , so I got the car out of the impound yard , he took his stuff and gave me the title . The car was the Mod Squad 1969 black Lincoln Continental with the rear suicide doors and a big ass 460 , that car rocked and I put another 150,000 miles on it with only repacing hoses , brakes , general tune up parts , tires and oil etc....
Good Luck on getting the caddy
