OK, not in such a bad mood today.
Went to bed amazingly early for a work night - midnight. Usually I don't even get in the door until midnight, let alone into my nice warm, comfortable bed...oh how I dream about my bed while I'm at work listening to people bitch about their apartments and water bills...
Oh yeah, I finally got the job I've wanted for a few years now. I work at an apartment community in the Kent Valley. I'm a Leasing Consultant that also manages 100 of the units (we have over 600). I fell ass backwards into yet another insanely good position. This community is the flagship of the company and is the stepping stone for management. A year here is considered more then good enough to get you in as an assistant manager at another property, which means in three years or so I could be managing my own property. I would like to do that, just not one too big - like nothing comparible to the one I'm at now.
Shit, it's getting late. Need to get down to the asian market on the corner for cigarettes (they sell singles for fifty cents) and then on the highway. Luckily I only have to work M-W during the week and then weekends, so only three days out of the week do I have to leave an hour early for work and hope I'm not late - although I tend to be insanely early if there's no accidents.
It's foggy as hell up here and has been for about a week now. No one told me it did this up here. I love it. Makes me wish I was up in the mountains fly fishing, or down in the Columbia Gorge boondoging for steelhead. What beautiful weather to be wasted on work (although my work is RIGHT on the Green Duwamish River, which means I get to fish for an hour during my lunch break when I want to... ).
God help me I'm starting to almost maybe like the weather up here...
