After having seen Amanda Palmer twice now (first time was about 3 years back as the Dresden Dolls) I think I'm a little in love. Funny, chatty, mildly disorganised but still able to absolutely blow you away with a song, all that and she's fucking Neil Gaiman.

The 90% statistic isn't doctors that don't use it because it's been animal tested, it's those that don't use it JUST because it's been animal tested, so it may well have been, but the wouldn't prescribe anyone with it until it had been through more reliable tests, i guess because up to 90% of animal test results are discarded as they are inapplicable to man. There's actually a really interesting article here about a petition that doctors and scientists are signing to ban/reduce animal testing because it's so misleading and unreliable.
