Right time to update.
First things first Brighton. Well that was rather fucking good wasn't it. Went down on the train on Friday, unfortunatly I had the company of JohnStitch and Sky who tried to torment me. Anyway despite this the journey was fine, got into Brighton checked into the very nice B&B that I was sharing with The_Happy_Pig. Then met up with JohnSitich, Sky and heavenandhell, we went to a bar on the beach and where later joined by the Pig himself. After a few drinks we went and found a very nice Thai resterant. Well it was nice until we arrived and Sky set about destorying the place, for someone so small she is a force of nature at times. Anyway despite this the food was lovely, making the place a real find. We then went to the pub to meet up with other SGUKers and much drink was drunk and much fun was had.
The Saturday is a day that must go down in SGUK history. It was just fucking mad in the best way possible. Just before kick off I brought a rather fine Navy jacket from Snoopers Paradise, it gave me an air of authority that I tend to lack. Anyway we had to change pubs because of the toilet situation in the original venue (don't ask), we all went back to the pub from the Friday and luckly it was pretty much empty because in the end around 70 of us where there. It was great catching up with friends and meeting new people. My memories of the pub are fairly good, though I do seem to remember telling AgentBlack that I'd fuck his mum if she looked like Claudia Black. I also remember having a conversion with Dylan about genatically modifying all foods to be curly like curly fries. I also had a moment of slight paranoia when somebody said to me "You're TheQuestion, people are always talking about you.". I wasn't told what they where saying. Anyway as the evening went on most of us went to the Engine Rooms. What are the Engine Rooms like I hear you say. Well pretty much like any rock club ever. Underground, wood panelling, very dark and sticky floors, of course I liked it. It was classic rock night and by god how we ROCKED.
I would also like to say that everyone who went to Brighton as their first meet gets my upmost respect as I wouldn't have the balls to do that.
Sunday was quieter, those of us left gathered in the backroom of a pub. I was very tired and must apologise to anyone if I seemed rude or uncommunitive but from about 4pm onwards I was out of energy reserves. Still I would like to take a moment to say that Caramel and Midwinter are the best hosts I've ever come across. They supplied seemingly endless pizza and pitta bread and I salute them for it.
Anyway Monday came and I headed home, fighting the post meet blues. I then went to look at various flats with Nicky and by god we found a great one with the biggest living room I have ever seen! Now to jump ahead timewise a little, after much buggering about with estate agents and being told we had it, then being told we didn't, we finally got it! So I will be moving sometime in April.
Unfortunatly these bastards cancelled their Brixton gig
They have reschulde, I just hope work will allow me to get to it.
Last night I had the greatest mexican ever thanks to JohnStitch.
I've got the fear a little at the thought of returning to work, like I've said I have plans to get out but because of the moving I've had to put them off for a little because of money etc. Still it's only temporary.
You know as a final note Brighton really made me realise that I like you lot rather a lot, I really can't think of another bunch of people I could have had so much fun with. Now I know there have been various tensions recently and this saddens me because in the end fuck it we're better than everybody else and we should remember that.
Hip hop music ruined my life.
