Hi SG Land!
Thanks as always for the comments on my last blog, you know who you are.
So, what's been happening with me since the last blog? Pretty much nothing...
Finally got around to watching Prometheus and Resident Evil: Retribution.
Loved how Prometheus tied in to Alien, although the first alien's head was a bit too pointy at the back for my liking, but since he was meant to be the first of his kind, I'll let them off.
Resident Evil had it's moments, but those films are getting a bit silly now, they've even left it open for a 6th movie. It was great to see them add Leon and Ada Wong in this new film and it was also good to see them have evil Jill Valentine from the 5th game.
Was working yesterday, off today, working tomorrow and Thursday, off Friday and working Saturday this week. At least that means I'll have an extra day's pay come payday. No luck on the job front yet as I have to wait until Friday to see if there's any jobs I can apply for in the paper.
There's no point even trying to look on the JobCentrePlus website, because I've looked in the past and they never update their records. Not their fault, this is down to the local employers forgetting to take the jobs off the Job Centre website after they've got someone for the job advertised.
Had a very lazy day today, due to the weather being shit and also due to my regular pain having returned. Worst thing is I can't even get acupuncture anymore as the doctor who was doing that for me has now retired... Really frustrating as the only thing that eases the pain is Cocodamol, but that doesn't last for long (even less pain relief when it's swollen, nothing seems to work then) and I don't want to have to take painkillers for the rest of my life.
I may have to try going to the pain clinic again, to see about getting a nerve block injection. He wasn't keen on doing it the last time I went as he thought surgery was the best option. The surgeons said surgery was too risky, due to the location of the pain and my previous operations there (lots of scar tissue).
Spent most of today catching up on programmes we'd recorded but never got around to watching yet. We watched 2 episodes of American Horror Story: Asylum and 3 episodes of Castle. At least we're caught up with Castle now for the new episode tomorrow night.
Also got to spend some time playing Okami, I love that game and I'd played some of it on the Wii. Much easier on the Playstation though, as it's more accurate for making the Celestial Brush patterns...
