Hi SG Land,
Thanks again for the kind comments on the last blog, you know who you are and you are all in my cool book!
Here's an update on things since yesterday...
Got my rejection e-mail today, which was expected, but still a bit depressing nonetheless. The job hunt continues...
Our dog still hadn't managed to move much at all by this morning, so we were really worried and phoned for the vet to see him and the most amazing thing happened about 20 minutes before the vet arrived...
He got up and started walking about as if there was nothing wrong with him at all. He met the vet at the front door and she was surprised to see him acting so healthy too, after how we'd described his condition over the phone.
She did some tests and it turns out he's got a faint heart murmour and she's prescribed tablets to combat this, which he'll have to get renewed every month.
So at least our dog's going to be around for a while longer - we got such a fright yesterday as a similar thing happened with our other dog and he couldn't move at all, so we had to have him put down...
Hopefully Tyne will live for a few years yet, as he's 13 and the maximum age for a Border Collie is 16.
In other news I got the results from my final Tutor Marked Assessment and I got 72, which was great! I'm going to appeal though because I usually get full marks for presentation and grammar, but I didn't get full marks this time.
I'd noticed towards the end of my tutor's comments that she was referencing grammatical errors which I hadn't made and she was also criticising my word count for question 2 - which was supposed to be a maximum of 700. I thought I'd done very well, as my word count was 670. She was saying my word count for question 2 was 847, but then I noticed she was calling me David and was referencing other mistakes, like paragraphing and still calling me David...
I've sent her an e-mail to make her aware of the mistake, as I can only guess that she's got our assessments mixed up.
It's only 2 points I'm appealing over, but every mark counts and this would boost my result to 74.

Thanks dude, it was long, drawn out, brutal process, but I think I'm starting to move on. Hope your weekend was good too!
