I think this has to be the craziest thing in the world, sending a cease and desist because a word appears on a certain web page. I've always thought IP law was a bit wacky but this takes the biscuit. I hope none of the bands or authors come after me for having listed them on my page. yeah right. What a loads of codswallop.
I used to think Nintendo was the bees knees and when I was little even had an imported american super nes, but now I'm not sure I would touch one of their products with a barge pole.
In other news my friend Nick is coming down to see me tomorrow and I am totally psyched! He's so cool that when I see him I get really pumped and kill a whole town of ninjas. So that should be good.
Happened to come into minty possession of House of flying daggers today, the follow up to Hero by the same director. It's brilliant although I'm not sure if it's as good as hero. It's a more personal story than hero and doesn't try to be as clever with colour or flashy with cameras and swordplay, instead focusing on the developing relationship between the central characters. It has to be compared to Hero just because it is the follow up to such an amazing film but I feel like perhaps i'm making an unfair comparison now as perhaps the films are so different that to compare the two would do both a disservice.
Interestingly Mei, one of the main characters who is played by Zhang Ziyi (also in Hero, crouching Tiger and to be appearing in memoirs of a Geisha) is blind. This reminded me very much of "Beat" Takeshi's 'Zatoichi' where he plays a blind masseur. Takeshi's handling of a blind warrior is much more artful than Ziyi's but she still does admirably well.
Hmm methinks I need to structure my posts a little more. I tend to just splurge whatever I'm thinking about on the page. Gotta tighten up those literary reins.
Holy crap the latest Naruto episode is out! 106!!! Anime-Heaven seem to be beating Anbu to the release line but I prefere the subs on the Anbu version. Lol azureus says there are already over 10k leachers on it. I love legal bittorrent downloads. it's great to have something legitimate to download over p2p networks, the only other thing I can think of are linux distros.

i can't wait to see memoirs of a Geisha. I'm apprehensive tho, I hate watching films adapted from books that have turned out to be awful. I hope this one isn't! The book is fantastic!
