Egad. Only eight days to go!
I'm in the process of tying up loose ends, finishing up with packing and triple checking that everything we've booked *is* actually booked and confirmed and what have you. The only crucial things that still need to get taken care of [besides my waxing and manicure/pedicure] are securing traveler's checks and some Euros from American Express travel services. I have to run to the local AmEx travel rep on Tuesday and take care of all that.
ZPO booked us into the Hilton Frankfurt for the first night we're there.
He knows me all too well.
I'm getting pretty excited for this trip. I'm almost done packing, I think I just need a couple more tops to match some skirts that I have and I'll be good to go. Perhaps I'll take care of that once I'm done updating. Hmm.
So yes- I did get a job [yay!] as a real estate broker's assistant. The pay is the exact same thing as it was with BMW and that makes me happy. It was looking as though I would have to take a pretty big hit in order to get hired anywhere, and I"m really, really glad that's not the case. With any luck, I'll be able to rebuild my savings in no time. They're also sending me to realtor school for free, which is awesome because once the police dept. calls me, I'll still be able to do that part time. Woohoo!
In reference to my idiocy the other night, I got a brand spankin' new tire yesterday, and the even better news is that my rim isn't waffled like I originally thought it was. Things are apparently looking up in Libraland.
Last night, RxQueen and I ventured up to New Haven to celebrate WelnTaod and BigBuddha's respective birthdays. Mass quantities of sushi and good people were present, and they were all fantastic.
You all know who you are. It's like a guaranteed good time if you end up out with SGCT.
I have to go sweat and shop, and not in that order. Be good, ya'all

P.S. I usually double the recipe for 10-15 people as an appetizer.
