I'VE BEEN WRITING SINCE 8:00 PM AND ALL I HAVE IS THIS:

We all know the story. Yesthat story. The one with the good yet oblivious father, wicked stepmother, equally atrocious stepsisters, and the poor little daughter who falls by the wayside in daddys new marriage, only to be swept off of her feet into happily ever after by the proverbial handsome prince. As children, we grew to love the seemingly forgotten daughter and loathe her oppressors. We cheered for her when the prince found her. Anne Sexton puts an interesting spin on this rags to riches story in her poetic version of Cinderella, by conveying that clinging to such notions is unrealistic, and that happily ever after does not truly exist. Sexton expresses her frustration with the idea that not everyone gets to live the lives of their dreams.


....is there really a reason WHY I need this class to transfer? No, BESIDES the fact it's "required"...I need a better reason than that. I'm a fucking Criminal Justice major. What the FUCK am I doing analying feminist fairytale poetry as it relates to fucking Bettelheim's essay on it?

THIS WILL NOT HELP ME DURING A MURDER INVESTIGATION.
