Thanks for all of the congratulations on my new nephew!! I can't wait to see him so I can spoil him [and his mom, too ]. She's one of my closest childhood friends who'd been dealt somewhat of a bad hand- psycho mom, messy divorce, loser abusive brother, yadda yadda- but somehow she overcame it all and became a beautiful, strong, mature, sane young woman. Having witnessed the craziness firsthand, I'd go as far as to say it's nothing short of a miracle. I really do admire her. If you read this, Kathy- you fuckin' rock.

My second FinAcc quiz is tonight. I got an A on the first one but this one deals with tab accounting and it's enough to turn my brain into scrambled egg soup. Hopefully I'll get through it okay- all of our tests and quizzes are open book, which means that it's a matter of putting my post-it flags in the correct places. Even open book exams require one's ducks to be in a row. Quack quack.

I've given up meat [except for fish, which I know is technically food with a face, but I can't kick my sushi habit] for Lent again this year. Let's see if I last longer than two weeks this time. If you do the Lent thing, what did you give up? It's interesting to find out the obscure stuff that people are willing to sacrifice. My office mate gave up sandwiches......but we all have to consider the source.

I'm preparing a huge package full of fun stuff for ZPO. It's a lot of fun, shopping around for neat things to mail to him. Of course it would be more fun if I could give them to him in person...but... That will happen soon enough

Unfortunately I have to cut this update short because I have to appear busy. Perhaps I'll write more later.
