D'oh!
Back to the drawing board. As you can probably see by the time on this update, my date ended quite early.
Here's the rundown.
I walked into the coffeeshop and saw her sitting there. She was very cute. Dressed hippyish, with a little dress(very low cut; sexy!), flipflops, little beady peace sign necklaces, and a headband. Cute.
BUT when I sat down and started talking, I noticed she was extremely jittery. She was shaking really badly, and playing with her rings and sugar packets. I asked why and she said she was always this nervous, and also drinks waaaay too much coffee.
I was acting cool, calm, and friendly, and tried my best to put her at ease. But she just couldn't relax. I also noticed that when she blinked, her eyes were just SLIGHTLY out of sync.
She started up talking(with minimal details) about past relationships; she mentioned she had a couple bad breakups, and I mentioned that while my last breakup(recently) was very friendly, I had been with a couple psychos before her; the type that told crazy stories like "I'm really a vampire". (this was kind of a test to see her reaction, to judge how strange she was)
At this point the girl looked down at the floor like she had something to hide, or had been offended. I think she thought of herself as a little crazy too, so she kinda failed that test. I feel bad for her though. The poor thing must have social anxiety disorder or something. She went out for a cigarette, and I joined her for fresh air, but she sucked her cig down faster than I've ever seen anyone smoke. She threw it out and immediately said "I have to go chill out, I can't handle this".
I was like "huh? So that's the end of it?"
And she said yeah, and we had an awkward litte goodbye hug and said "nice to meet you".
And that was it.
I got home and wrote her a nice little email telling her no hard feelings, sorry it didn't work out. Told her I hope that whatever is holding her back I hope she can get over it, and for god's sake lay off the caffeine!
I tell you what, I know how to find 'em...
