Happy to hear from you. Depression has been my constant yet unwanted companion during the 7 years of my homelessness. Since April I’ve been visiting a park every morning carrying with me some scraps of bread I save from dinner. I toss bread pieces onto the walkway at dawn and am suddenly greeted with dozens of cheerful chirping birds grateful for my presence. It’s the little things like that… also taking a moment to be grateful myself that help me get through each day.
