You know when I was younger and my mom and dad were always complaining about their backs...can't do this can't do that. I always thought it was excuses. How could I understand that right? Well, now I know from experience...2 neck surgeries, a fibromyalgia diagnosis, & a low back herniated disk later! Once you have a bad back it really won't ever get better. You can manage it and give it a little TLC when you need it, try hard not to overdo it, but I'm still very young at heart and always will be. So, I still wanna act like I'm 25! I went to a chiropractor a long time ago when I was still working, but I wouldn't trust a chiropractor with my back now. If you push your body farther than you should it tells you with pain when you do, but by the time you feel pain its too late! I have so learned that over the years. I try really hard to listen to what my body tells me. I know not everyone does or at least I know not everyone is in tune with their body. (I think those are the ones who end up having heart attacks.) With my herniated disk, I know it becomes inflamed when I overdo it and causes pressure on the sciatic nerve. I swear I was crawling around in my apt. yesterday just because that is the only way I could move without putting excess pressure on it. I go out drinking and dancing, and so the next day I am paying for it when the anesthetic effect of the alcohol is gone!
