QUOTE OF THE DAY: "I must look like a dork." -- dennis dale boon of the Minutemen from the song "Political Song For Michael Jackson To Sing"
QUESTIONS!!!
1- Today, you feel like ________________.
2- Any good coitus interruptus stories? When were you screwing and got interrupted/ discovered/ etc?
3- About how many to-do lists did you make for yourself in the last week?
4- How often do you eat fast food (don't lie)?
5- Which is the hottest new set, from the last week???
6- (Extra credit, for gentiles like myself only) -- Complete this phrase: "Baruch ata adonai..."
Thanks friends, for not laughing at yesterdays revelation of SOME of my Plans for World Domination (mwaaaa-ha-haaaah). Tonight for our distributor Im writing one sheets on two of Sad Robots upcoming releases, from great moody fucked-up Seattle bands the folk-downer-poppy Terror Sheets and the shoegazer-loud crazy Hypatia Lake. The first is a lovely driving in the rain record and the second is a stoned in your bathtub sorta "concept album," hooray.
Finally sending questions to guitarist/ reed player Elliott Sharp, a guy typically associated with the NYC Downtown avant scene but whos also done really cool sonic installations, computer music, created scores for string quartets, etc. His discography attaches itself to over two hundred albums at this point and hes a youthful early 50-something. One of those guys who looks good bald.
Am nervous cause Im like a month late getting to this task, a piece for the highbrow BOMB magazine where Im now a contributing whahoosamitz and where a girl I have a huge crush on (and more importantly like a lot and consider a pal) works as an editor.
Oh well enough blabbing about it I'm gonna git to it, huzzah!!!
