Now, a random rant:
I like knives, and I used to really like carrying a pocket knife as it's a handy tool to have around. Unfortunately, society seems to be fixated on knives as weapons. I've inadvertantly brought a knife to concerts, the airport, and the bus station before and had hassles each time (as you can imagine). Now I can't bring one to work...

New girl at work. She is verrrrrryy interesting. Cute, fun, same interests, no mention yet of a boyfriend. Can I be this lucky? Probably not, but I'm going to find out.

Good luck!

Thanks, going to ask her out today I think. I'm planning on spending my Wed night by going to see the new King Kong, and then having a drink at a club that does a goth/industrial night on Wed nights. I'm going to see if she wants to hang out, then tell her what my plans are and see if she's into either (or maybe both). If she's a go for either (preferably the club so we can actually hang out) then I can find out if she has a boyfriend. If she doesn't have a boyfriend, I'm grabbing her and beating off other guys with a stick! (Ew, I just said "beating off other guys")
Done! The last of the left over turkey is gone. Damn, all I want now is rice and veggies for a few days.
Went to the grocery store today. As expected turkey was on sale, so I bought a 20 pound turkey for only 10 bucks. Spent the day cooking what is essentially a second Thanksgiving (turkey, stuffing, mashed potatos, and veggies). I discovered that 20 pounds is a fucking LOT of turkey. The good news is it turns out to be the tastiest turkey I've ever tasted....

Isn't it funny how you can always find geek girls on the internet, but never in real life?
Just back from Maine and Tgiving day. I had to stay an extra day due to the weather. Work is probably upset, but I can't say that I am hehe.
Now for a little family history so I can explain my current situation. My mom and my dad split when I was very young, so I never saw my dad much, or got to know...

Well, last day of my mini vacation here. What did I do? Well, I DIDN'T start that painting I wanted to start. I did rent some movies (American Psycho, SLC Punk, and City of Lost Children as old favs I hadn't seen in a while, and the Stewie Griffon Story, and some ultra low budget zombie movie as new views). I did some cleaning around...

I'm taking some well deserved vacation time next week. I have to take 10 days off before Jan 1st, so I'm starting with Mon, Tues, Wed next week for a nice 5 day weekend. Just going to bum around the house and try to start a new painting series. I haven't painted with real paint in a few years (been doing more with digital), but...

Pics of me
Imagine a Swastika. One of the most reviled of images. (stolen from peaceful Bhuddist imagery...) That's the closest image I can think of when I contemplate the fear of the knife.
They're very in you face. Personal. And in the use as a weapon, intimate in the most seductive brutal way. You really have to be a bit psychotic to desire them as a defense. ( West Side Story Analogies aside...)
I have a few. I use them on occasion to cut fat SWO electrical cables. And I still find them scary to use after all thease years even though I've never cut my flesh with one.
