Holy shit it's been nearly 3 weeks. What is probably most depressing is that I still have fuck all to put here.
Work is still kinda annoying but I've settled into a comfortable groove. Mark managed to drive out one of the other sales assistants by talking down to him all the time and generally being a dick. Instead of, I dunno....mentioning this to somebody, the guy just stops showing up for work. He feigns sickness, brings in self-cert sicknotes instead of proper doctors ones, and then basically tells us he wont be coming back.
He won't actually quit though, because that would count as a resignation and then he wont be able to sign on. Instead he's just not showing up, waiting for us to fire him so he can go get free money. HR have cottoned onto this so now there's a bizarre tug-of-war between the two parties - with HR sending out constant letters telling him to get in touch with us, every one of which he ignores. Then they just send out another letter. All the while, HR wont let us start looking for a replacement for him - so I'm short staffed all the fucking time
I started taking guitar lessons on Friday. I think i've mentioned this before - I've owned a guitar for ages, tried teaching myself with various books, dvds etc but always end up losing motivation. I suddenly got the desire to give it another try and found a local charity that does lessons for a small subscription and then 7 a lesson. I've only had one so far, so I've not started learning anything I couldn't find in a book anyway; but its helpful just having somebody there to correct mistakes and give you feedback. Books can't do that, annoyingly.
I also discovered Garth Marenghi's Darkplace after finding the DVD on the cheap. Since then i've fallen in love with it, and often find myself thinking of awesome Dean Learner quotes. Thats pretty much all thats happened in the past 3 weeks. Joy

I have kicked Timesplitters onto easy mode, it is now far more enjoyable.
