Hurray! a full year without television! Let's reflect on the things that I've accomplished in the past year because I didn't waste time sitting in front of the tube:
- I was in a band that unravelled in August because the leader moved to Seattle.
- I tried starting 2 bands that never got off the ground.
- I took the Blues Ensemble class twice.
- Took 2 Jazz Ensemble classes.
- Took a Jaz Improv class twice.
- Just joined another band and am learning their songs
- Took private lessons.
- I either got to bed on time or stayed up late for a good reason. When I was hooked on television it was easy to stay up watching a stupid show.
- Started writing my own songs for my own project.
- Studied Reggae, Calypso, and Latin bass grooves on my own.
I'll admit that I do miss things like Chapelle's Show, South Park, Iron Chef, Myth Busters, and American Chopper. But I've made some money playing bass. I never made a penny as a result of watching American Chopper.

I'm not as educated on the man and his life as I'd like to be, but that just leaves alot of room to learn.
Congratulations on your accomplishment; in todays world, not many people could do that.
