Question: has anyone ever seen a photo of George Bush an a mirror, at the same time?

Something makes me doubt that he has a reflection.

Any way.

I'm about to head to New York City for a week. I'm very excited.

4:40am
I hear something rattling in my apartment. I spring out of bed because I'm the only person who lives here.

The rattling continues after I turn on the light ...

Turns out that my eel leapt out of the aquarium. DAMN!

I grabbed him and threw him back in, but he's got a scratch on him and he's got dust bunnies clinging to him....

Mice and burglars are bad, but nighttime jumping eels are enough to make me piss myself. You're a brave man.

"I lived in Cambridge for 2 years. During that time, I found myself in so many piles of human flesh in someone's livingroom."

Damn - i have yet to find that around here!

Who can testify????

Last might I had a gig that was INCREDIBLE!!! We played some jazz: 2 intrumental tunes and 8 with vocals. We made it though at the weird twists & turns together. One singer had a song that breaks formt he funk groove and does 6 bars of a fast samba, then back to the funk. We struggled with that in our few...

So, I bought 2 marble shrimp for my aquarium.

Just 24 hours later I plucked a shell out of my aquarium ... felt pissed off that one shrimp died so soon.

Turns out that one of the shrimp molted, and they're both alive & well.

2 days later, I plucked out another molted shell.

No one told me this was part of what I'd signed...

Glad your shrimp are OK. Aquariums are work. I don't really enjoy mine, but I keep it around. I just gave it a thorough cleaning last week. What a chore.

Cigars and Bass...now that's pimpin

Hallelujah!!

Tom DeLay won't be seeking re-election to Congress.
Now his constituency can keep him to themselves.

R.I.P. Don Knotts.

Water came to my eyes this afternoon when I found out that Don Knotts died.

"The Andy Griffith Show" is one that I grew up watching, and never got tired of it. It remained funny up through the time I stopped watching television a few years ago. YUP! TVLand's Andy Griffith marathon was always fun.

What was one of my favorite episodes?...

Big fan of The Andy Griffith Show" here... Sad indeed...

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

Mr. Furley.. I hardly knew thee.. I only started watching the Andy Griffith show after seeing Mr. Knotts on Three's Company. He was and is one of my favorite comedian/actors of all time.

I dug your comment in the bass thread. You spit a lot of useful amp knowledge, which I soaked up all-sponge-like. I myself just picked up a David Eden 15 cab 'cause the price was right. I'm not really a big fan of the sound of the head, but my sunn 300T sounds decent enough for what I got for it. Unfortunately, there's a crazy bit of distortion that I thought used to come from my old cabinet, but it turns out that it's the head. Any note below the d on the a string makes the cab buzz like it's got a tear in it. I'm in the midst of designing an instrument amp for my senior project, and if my head was solid state, I could almost certainly attribute the buzzing to crossover distortion (providing it's an AB or B class power amp), but tubes are totally alien to me.

How's this for a crazy stranger's first-comment to your journal?

Today I'm taking the day off from work. This marks the end of a statute of limitations on a case that I never filed.

So, I'm taking the day to reflect and accept that "it's over." There's nothing that can be done at this point. After talking with several lawyers, the most optimistic told me that I did have a case but it'd be long...

and who says the rich don't buy their way through the courts in this country? At least there's the bass playing
nado:
I hate the law. I had a fucker basically try to kill me a few weeks ago. (Long story, he sold me a trailer that he knew was defective). It was gonna cost me several days time and a few thousand bucks to try and prove that he should give me back $900. I guess I have to move on with knowing that I am right and he is a crook.

Hope things pick up. How's the music business going?

I'm back at SG! After several months away, I dropped by and noticed that JennRose had a new set up. I couldn't resist re-newing my account.

Just in the few hours that I've been back, I realize how much I miss the groups. I've already made several posts on the Bass Players group.

I didn't stay too late, just late enough to lift my skirt in front of about twenty people to show off the panties SG gave me. ~sigh~

After a month away, I'm back!

Over the past month I started an aquarium. Even after 2 months of research there were still surprises and moments of doubt.

I had to weed through the opinions of online self-claimed experts. The folks at the pets shops had varying opinons & advice. Then there were regular folks who had advice, but their only credentials were dead fish,...

Hurray! a full year without television! Let's reflect on the things that I've accomplished in the past year because I didn't waste time sitting in front of the tube:

- I was in a band that unravelled in August because the leader moved to Seattle.
- I tried starting 2 bands that never got off the ground.
- I took the Blues Ensemble class twice....

Congratulations! The only time I did anything close to that was when I was in my college dorm last year and I was too lazy to get a cable hookup. I read alot more and rented alot of movies I'd been wanting to see. I haven't heard of that artist, I'll be sure to look him up!
moya:
I actually watched this movie, Marquis de Sade awhile ago, at a friends house. After that, I became interested in him and his mind, and did do some research (unfortunately, this was when I had almost no clue how to use the internet). I find the man quite fascinating (from what I've heard and know), and I learned about Salo from my english class. Discussing a topic on fear, the movie was mentioned, explained, and after hearing '120 Days of Sodom', my jaw dropped and I decided I'd like to see the movie. Unfortunately, the movie stores around here don't carry it, nor does the bookstore, unless I want to do a special order for purchase.

I'm not as educated on the man and his life as I'd like to be, but that just leaves alot of room to learn.

Congratulations on your accomplishment; in todays world, not many people could do that.
