Who can testify????


Last might I had a gig that was INCREDIBLE!!! We played some jazz: 2 intrumental tunes and 8 with vocals. We made it though at the weird twists & turns together. One singer had a song that breaks formt he funk groove and does 6 bars of a fast samba, then back to the funk. We struggled with that in our few rehearsals, but hit it last night. MAN!!

But ya' know ...

There's nothing like a gig that goes well. Getting laid? A blowjob? Nope.

Skydiving is almost similar, but skydiving isn't typically a shared experience.

We had some tense moments as we prepared for last night's gig. But we set that aside and made some damned good music.

I've got to make more of an effort to do this some more. I'm not performing enough and that's hurting me in a lot of areas. For one, there isn't much room for slap bass during a jazz gig. But I've focused the past 9 months on getting my slap thing together and I've got to do it with live people--not just the drum machine.


Ah! Life is good.

I'm about to put on my Croc's and go to the neighborhood cafe & have a cigar.
