This has been a very stressful week! It all began with a planned trip to New York taking a turn for the worst. My boss made a surprise trip in to work from his 3 week vacation yesterday afternoon, and informed me that I couldn't have my requested time off. I had planned to leave for New York Wednesday night after work and return sometime Monday. I had to then inform my friends that they would be footing the bill alone. Of course this is not the case, because I can't just back out of a trip that has been planned for 6 weeks and leave them with all the extra costs. I have just spent $200.00 on a trip I can't even go on!
To top the rest of my week off, I ended up taking my so called "new and restored" Jeep into my mechanic for a quick check up after work. I have been having a problem while down shifting into second and that small problem quickly became a small noise. After a quick drive around the block he informed me that he thinks (not quite sure at this point) but thinks my transmission is dying. This was the only part that had not been rebuilt on my Jeep, and the only part I was very worried about!?! If the transmission has to be replaced or rebuilt, then the transfer case has to follow as well as the clutch and fly wheel. The parts alone will cost me somewhere around $600.00 - not to mention the labor.
Fuck Me!
In other news, the band is all set to head into the studio for August 9th and 10th. Our new Demo is on it's way as well as our new press kit. The vocalist and myself had a drive out there on Sunday morning to meet the engineer and see the studio. It's perfect for what were after and the price is right. I've also just got off the phone with a friend who is going help design and maintain our web page for a case of beer and a full "stand up arcade" version of Nintendo's R-Type. Not bad considering I got the arcade machine for a case of king cans myself!
I guess things could be a little better right now? But only time can sort out all the major set backs anyhow, so there seems to be no real reason to worry about it.

that really sucks about your jeep. and it really really sucks about new york. i love new york. i adore new york. if i could, i'd be there now. and you know, i always say not to worry, that things will work out and for the most part, i believe it, but i still think i'm the world's biggest worry wort. i overthink and overthink and worry myself sick.
oh, and i'm watching harold and maude as we speak. well, i pushed pause, but it'll be back on in a sec.
I'm selling my car at the moment cause I couldn't deal with the old car troubles any more. There was a nasty sound in the gearbox the whole two years I owned it but it never exploded or anything.
