Some scientists believe that there are an infinite number of universes that exist beyond our own. The idea is that every time a choice in life is presented each option is explored in an alternate world. To imagine yourself at a fork in the road you can go left or right. In this existence you go left but in another you go right. This happens at each and every fork we encounter.
I like this idea. For the simple fact that I can believe that even though I may have gotten it wrong this time, there is another version of me that is enjoying the right decision. And I know that when my life has become terrible and unmanageable it could be worse, somewhere there is a version of me that has never gotten the answer right.
The world we live in may seem terrible at times or we may get caught up in our glory and think it is the best possible existence. But I think we are living in the universe of averages. While some universes probably lean more to the negative or more to the positive we seem to exist right down the middle. You have a 50/50 chance right or wrong with every action you take. Those are the best odds you'll find anywhere.
Anyways, I'm not good at expressing philosophy but thanks for reading. I meant to blog Saturday but my life is a little upside down right now. Good news, I'm sober still!
