It started out pretty cool. Quite a bit less than I'm used to making, but I chalked that up to the probation period of 6 months, and figured after I'd proved myself the raises would start coming. A lot of walking, but at first it wasn't too rush rush. Had a fair amount of down time to rest between moving pieces.
Now, it's like my boss is on meth. Even after a few accidents, he still pushes and pushes. Not fast enough? Well, he'll just jump on a forklift and do it unsafely. Ugh. And the kicked is after 7 months (a month past my probation) any mention of a raise is greeted with "good luck, they don't give raises here."
So now I'm sitting here hoping I get the call to go to South Carolina. I like San Antonio, but I still don't know anyone here and I'm not big on going out alone, so I just work and chill at home. At least in SC I'll make much better money, and won't have to work half as hard. Nuclear plants are way safer and they don't push near as hard.
*sigh*
So much for finding "permanent" work and settling down somewhere.
