Thought I would share this on here. The bullshit mythology that people buy into amazes me. I can't talk about it really on facebook, though most of my friends do. Mainly because of my father. Trying to actually have a relationship with him now, after years and years of hating each other. He's become pretty devout, and is fixing to leave for Africa to do missionary / community development work over there. For me to flaunt the fact that I'm an atheist would only cause problems.
But, YES, world. I'm an atheist. I find all these religions to be no different than Norse mythology, Egyptian mythology, etc. Something for people to hold onto at night to make the world less scary. Most religions would be okay if they actually just believed in it and went about their lives. Instead, everyone feels the need to try to force it on others, berate those who don't think the same as them, etc. FOH with that shit.
This is pretty much how I feel, and have for quite some time. Amazing words of wisdom from someone centuries ago, and had many gods to contend with!
