What a week it has been. I can no longer read newspapers or watch the news about New Orleans. I fear, as do many people, that the worst is yet to come.
We as a nation will feel the effects of this tragedy for a very long time. Once the city is emptied of water. Once all the living and dead are accounted for. Once the clean up has started and been completed. Once the blame game is played out. Then the real challenge will begin.
Think about it. Think how things will be in 6 months or in 2 years. Do you think things will ever be normal again?
I for one do not.
Its a sad day when all I worry about is how this world will be for my daughter and what she will have to go through as she ventures out into it.

Indeed, but we cannot let the unknown control the now. We can instead, prepare for the things that would be the worst, and celebrate each day between now and then. And celebrate each other, and those that we love.
