Weekend update part two.
One other thing this weekend that I forgot to mention. Back in June of '04 we bought a 300 CD changer for our stereo system along with a 4 year service contract from Best Buy. After realizing that we still had an additional 200 cds we purchased a 400 disk changer to add to it and didn't bother with the service contract on that one. We could now play them together on full shuffle with no delay or cross-fade them together so that the songs fade out while the next one fades in like a radio station. Anyway, last July/August the 300 disk started acting up. We pulled all of the CDs out and brought it in to be fixed. The guy asked what the problem was, took it in and sent it to be repaired. 3 weeks later we get it back and it's working fine until this weekend. Mind you it takes about an hour and a half to load all the cds back in and title them so you know what is playing. Saturday we bring it back for a second time. Wait in line to get help for about 10 minutes and the guy wants to test it. He tells us to "walk around for a bit" while I get a CD 'ready'" So we do...another 15 minutes we're back at the counter, he sees us and says "oh yeah" and BEGINS to try to test it. After ANOTHER 15 minutes he comes back and tells us that the CD played no problem but he couldn't get any audio from it...umm, the problem was on shuffle, If I wanted to play one CD why the fuck would I have a 700 disk changer!!?? Anyway he says he'll 'take our word for it and send it out'. Only this time it might not be back until MARCH 1st! unbelievable but he's going to try to rush it since we just had it in. Fuckin' Best Buy man...I think the problem is that if you get it fixed 3 times and it's still not working they replace it with a new one and he was trying to avoid that. Why would I scam for another one if this one works? Do I have nothing better to do with my time?
