Two weeks ago my life changed.
I felt like my own drive had taken a back seat while I tried to get others motivated for life and slowly I saw old patterns returning to my attitude.
All it took was a chance meeting, a slight shift in my thought process and bam! my bad juju had ended.
I felt alive again, I felt my thirst for adventure returned and I was filled with nothing but positive energy for the first time in, well, too long.
Knowing I was going through a lot and that I desperately needed a getaway to kickstart my adventurous spirit, my little sister organised a surprise road trip for me and my family.
We went up the blue mountains; this was the half way mark. What a view.
We stopped and I was told to bring only my essentials and prepare for a lot of walking... I am always prepared for walking adventures!!
Sisters who hike together... Are awesome 😆
We ended up on a track to see the famous Lithgow glow worm tunnel! I almost wish I had photos of the glow worms to show you all, but I was too distracted by their beauty, and it means this will be incentive too come see them for yourselves 😜
The tunnel and the track to get there was was amazing! I love being surrounded by nature. All of the water, trees and the glow worms themselves were so magical I just wanted to stay there forever.
These are my happy hiking faces! Hahaha.
After the trek, we returned to driving where we ended up at a gorgeous camp site where everyone surprised me with tents, drinks, foods, games and fun!
Magical fire thanks to my sisters fiancé. So many surprises!
We played all of the games, went on all of the late night walks, reminisced on all of our crazy times togethers and just laughed, a lot.
My baby cousin and I are so alike, we hit the hay so we could get up bright and early!
We cooked breakfast on the hot coals from the night before, made coffee and soaked in the peaceful atmosphere for a good three hours before anyone else woke up! Haha
Ahhhh. I really needed that!
I am filled with so much positivity and hopefulness for the future after the last two weeks.
It's amazing what meeting inspiring people, spending some time in nature and taking a good hard look at your inner self can do for your world outlook.
I feel strong and more in control of my life than ever before. Bring it on!
Thanks for being so supportive and for such a warm welcome back 💜
