probably the last update from the continent...flying back to the doggies tomorrow, back to work Wed. urff.
A few random thoughts. On toilets, and those encountered over the years in the US, Canada, Mexico, Iceland, Netherlands and Germany. They're different. US, CA and ME are all about the same. Handle on the side or front, bowl of water with the flush coming into the bowl all around the sides. IS and NL are similar to the US et al, but with noticeably smaller bowls, and, I think, water entering the bowl from back only in a power assisted flume. DE toiletten, however, have neat little shelves right there in the bowl where yesterday's schnitzel lands, waiting for the flush, which comes from the back, in a powerful flood, fast enough to splash schnitzel water up and outta the bowl. Neato. I guess the shelf is there in case you accidentally eat your car key or need to quickly retrieve that balloon of heroin smuggled in from Amsterdam. Or maybe there's something helpful to be gleaned from the way that schnitzel smells now that it's been eaten and discarded. Mystery to me.
On things unspoken, but deeply felt. Seems most of those things are ultimately best shared. Timing may be extremely difficult, though.
On electronic pangs of lust. Ever felt 'em? What I used to attribute to sense of hearing, smell or sight, seems to have another tangible aspect in the magnetic, electric or gravitational realm. Don't recall enough physics to guess at which area is best suited as transmission medium. But I seem to recall that there are folks out in the worlds working on theories that describe how all those things are related anyway. Sounds kinda Zen. Seems that wily old Buddha Gautama had seen that relationship coupla thousand years ago...
'Nough for now, the kiddoes wish to mess with new iPods and such
