Isn't being sicky so completely sucky? Best wishes for feeling better soon. My house is a less sick house and it's sooooo much nicer, but we were living on Advil cold and sinus during the day and brandy, lemon and honey at night for a week. *sends feel better vibes*

Went to see Blue Man Group last night. I enjoyed it a lot, which was a nice surprise, since I really only went to see Venus Hum open for them. The crowd was a bit of a letdown, though. There were people talking really loud behind me during V.H.'s set and pretty much throughout the main show. Not music fans, I'm guessing.

Hi again. smile Thanks for reasuring me about Paradise Lost. I am actually quite excited about starting it now. It should be the perfect winter read. (Of course, I am usually juggling about 6 books at once. Hee hee!) I will keep you posted on my impressions if you are interested.

Thanks again for the flattery of calling me a writer. I mostly see myself as a voracious reader, who dabbles with the written word. I'm so glad that you seem to enjoy my silly scribblings.

I completely share your view on comics. The combination of stunning art and intriguing stories seems to somehow get overlooked by the "established" literary community.

Let's see . . . interesting books. I have quite a few signed first editions of Gaiman stuff, lots of books on fairy tales and mythology, religious texts, books on decontructing religious texts, an sprinkling of poetry and philosophy, and some gorgeous art books (I have a fondness for most anything published by Taschen or Paper Tiger. Mmmmmmm . . . pretty pictures.) What about you?

Here's hoping my lethargy goes away soon. I have two writing deadlines coming up and have about 15 measley pages written in total.

That's killer, and it means I won't be sleeping much for the forseeable future.

Also, just found out that some of the work I did a few months ago will likely not see publication, as the comic book properties it's based on...

i personally thought o-renshii should have kicked a LOT more ass...that was the only disappointing part.the school grrl bodyguard character gogo put up a much better fight than she did.
