Don't wish it away
Don't look at it like it's forever
Between you and me
I could honestly say
That things can only get better
And while I'm away
Dust out the demons inside
And it won't be long
Before you and me run
To the place in our hearts
Where we hide
Just stare into space
Picture my face in your hands

I was responding to Heyoka's journal and for some reason I just kept typing. Ended up articulating a lot of what I believe in writing for the first time, so I'm sticking it here too. Repost follows...
It has become appallingly obvious that our technology has exceeded our humanity.
- Albert Einstein
I empathize with your empathy, so to speak. I too feel (over)sensitized to...

That didn't go very well.

Holy shit! Thanks for all of that info! Unfortunately, there's 2 things that are keeping me from implementing it:
- I'm Macintosh
However, I do have Virtual PC, which works pretty well.
- I'm on dial-up
Yeah, unbelievable...I'm here in the middle of goddamn Silicon Valley, and I can't get DSL. The phone lines in my area suck...totally unusable for DSL and they haven't replaced them yet. No cable internet, either. When I get regular income, I think I'm going to pony up for some kind of wireless connection.
At any rate, I've downloaded the stuff and bookmarked the sites (that torrents.co.uk thing is incredible). Hopefully I can get it up & running soon!!

morning. I'm feeling, disconnected. I hope your appt is going ok.
Everyone always has such wise quotes, lyrics, and poetry in their journals. After enduring countless popups and attemtped spyware installations, here's some of the quotes I liked from FamousQuotations Network:
Nothing shows a man's character more than what he laughs at.
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749-1832)
The human race has one really effective weapon, and that is laughter.
Mark Twain (1835-1910)

Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to an understanding of ourselves.
Carl Gustav Jung (1875-1961)
Few are those who see with their own eyes and feel with their own hearts.
Albert Einstein (1879-1955)
We must become the change we want to see.
Mahatma Gandhi (1869-1948)
Whatever you are, be a good one.
Abraham Lincoln (1809-1865)
I love those. I love all of them. Thank you.

okee... just learned that ctrl-z deletes the whole journal. live and learn...
It really wasnt much good stuff that got wiped... just me complaining about not getting enough sleep and having to fix people's computers. Maybe it's good that that negativity got pared down to this summary.
I made Green Giant teriyaki stir fry today, was sooo good. Going to buy it more often. Yes...

Exhausted. Sand and sun tan lotion in my hair. Stomach full of falafel, smoking a cigarette (only my second of the day, not bad).
Got my in-line skates fixed today and skated a really really long way to the beach, and back from my friend Pete's. It was amazing at the beach, sunny and warm, beautiful people everywhere. A friend brought a barbeque, much beer...

Touching the Void. Wow. You should go see it, and take bear boy. He'd appreciate it if he hasn't seen it yet.
I'd link the official site, but it kinda tells the whole story. I'll link the rottentomatoes site instead.
Touching the Void
You need to see it.
James' dad, eh? That's weird because I only talked to him a couple months ago. I'm sorry to hear it. If you talk to James, please give him my condolences.

Good thing I don't leave things till the last minute.
I finished my taxes today, after spending my afternoon adrift in a sea of old bills and bank statements. Managed to write off enough junk to go from having to pay $4500 to having to pay $800, so not too bad. But bleh, I've had enough with thinking or writing about money for one day....

Journal is going to be short today... love, health, and money are all problematic as of tonight's moonrise.
On a happy note, I accidentally typed "underboy" instead of "anybody" last night. It made me laugh... kind of a cute nicknamey thing. Reminds me of a guy I nicknamed "Darkboy" a long time ago.
Also for some reason I have Ren & Stimpy on my TV...

I've eaten snails, recently.
Prendick and Taeris both have the same, for lack of a better term, universal love energy.
I didn't know you liked snails GinJah.
Here, for both of you: seaslugs, not quite snails
I've been posting that link everywhere. I love it so much.
Underboy suits you.

EDIT: forgot the word universal!

Can you imagine being a land slug and meeting that sea slug? I'd be in awe of it, like meeting some sort of slug demi-god, almost too beautiful to behold. I like the pic
I recently got around to reading a book that I've had for years but for some reason never got very far into. The book is called "The Tao of Physics" by Fritjof Capra, and I find it so amazing that I've had to erase this paragraph twice already to keep from completely digressing from the actual point of this entry.
