Dammit dammit dammit.

There has got to be a better way to get a coil-sprung Dana 60 rear end w/3.54 gears and trailing arms from Atlanta to me than truck freight. Has to be.

Simple math time!

1500 mile round-trip = 150 gallons of gas (erring on the side of leadfoot here)
150 gal @ $3.50 = $525

LTL freight (one-time shipment, assuming business pickup...

This post took a lot out of me. I'm going to go lie down now & look pitiful.

Today is my five-year anniversary. In that time, I have gone anonymous twice, lapsed once (all of two weeks one year ago), and met many, many spiffy people.

Here's to another $48.

...goddamn radiator... mad

Today started off well enough. I found a dozen eggs in my fridge that were, well, expired but still good, so I decreed to myself I would make something with them. I ended up making a cake and two kinds of cookies.

Sweet. biggrin

By this time, it was well past the time I had set to begin my journey to central OH for...

Well, I just bought all the items necessary to tune up my car and change the oil. I only ended up spending around $83. Way cheaper than taking it into a shop!

I'm taking a three day vacation next week. I'm leaving my computer at home.

We interrupt our weekly dearth of postings for this special announcement:

Oh, how I would love to have this car in my driveway... love

Never mind I do not have $38,000 lying around now nor will I have it in mid-2008 when the normal Challengers with real transmissions debut. I still want that car. It gets better mileage than both the Blazer & Faithful Steed (when...

Surefire way to make your shoulders sing: spend six hours wriggling around the attic upgrading the insulation. Three hours after I quit for the day, they're still serenading me with "Ave Maria".

Tomorrow I will be back up there, hopefully finishing the job. If I do, great! Time to concentrate on that engine of mine. If I don't, well, time for a break. I think...

I looked just like that picture some years back when I insulated my attic... and then did 3,000 square feet of hand-cut r-30 by myself at my shop (random-spaced roof joists are the best) *gag

Taxes are done. Yay. blackeyed Due to the stupefying ineptitude of Congress & our convoluted tax code, the IRS will not be looking at any returns until February 11. Phooey.

(Owning a house certainly makes a difference in moneys owed, that's for sure.)

First & foremost, a weekend diet of White Castle, Mongolian Beef runch special from hole-in-the-wall Chinese place @ Telegraph & Schoolcraft, chili & cheese fries, an M&M Sonic Blast, and copious quantities of beer = noxious emissions. eeek

Second, when preparing for a trip away, it is a good idea to put ALL lunch fixin's away--especially ham. It doesn't smell bad and it doesn't taste bad,...

Nope, I'm a lucky, lucky bastard. It certainly FELT like I broke it in half, though. Full speed to immediate stop with all that speed focused into a single spot on my shoulder. Ouchie.

the Stark Hickey closed last week, I heard they gave the employees 24 hours notice at most. That place has been there since the 40's or 50's I think. It's nutty!

I think we should watch some good old school Star Trek for MN. Does next Wed work for you? Give me a jingle if it does. I'm going to the auto show tomorrow, yay!

The LLC is for my jewelry making. Jazzmyn Phyne Designs biggrin

Memo from the trenches here at SYH's Sunday Cinema:

There are two compelling reasons to watch Three. Both of them are attached to Kelly Brook. biggrin While they are indeed a truly wondrous sight, even they cannot counter how hackneyed this flick is.
