You know what I finally watched while on my vacation? Nemesis. It was good. Not Undiscovered Country or Wrath of Khan good, but good.

Not sure where they got the idea coal-fired power plants would keep us "dependent on imported fossil fuels" since coal is actually one fuel the US has an abundance of. If you wanted to be pedantic, the coal would come from WV, PA, or OH, so you could call it "imported" then.
Nitpicking aside, I'm thinking we should send a few pounds of the stuff to Lansing--not the good coal either. Oh no; they should get the clinkers.

Congratulations on the car.
So I had to sign for my car on the 28th, even though it wasn't there yet to lock in my rate. They had told me the week before that it would have been in that Monday. So my car seller-man, Tony, said that the car would be in the following Monday and that it would be ready for me by Wednesday. Which was yesterday....

I can finally make a report about our local Spartan store. In a word, skeezy. It'll do if there's one or two things I need but don't want to go to Aldi or Sav-A-Lot to get. For big trips, I'll stick with the Kroger on Telegraph & W. Chicago or any one of the myriad Meijers I pass daily.
I'm really excited to go to D.C. for the 4th!
