NEW PROJECTS:Then there's our project, THE WIGGLE WORKSHOP:
SPOILERS! (Click to view)
The Wiggle Workshop: Brought to you by Blood Rhinestone Productions
Do you have a new act you want to try out? Want to try out burlesque? Just change your burlesque persona? Are you new to the stage or to burlesque? Want to figure out what works for you on the stage? Want some advice? Want a different perspective?
THE WIGGLE WORKSHOP is a show dedicated to inviting performers of all calibers (especially amateurs and those new to our area) to show us their acts on a stage dedicated to bringing constructive criticism and the full show experience. This is a complete show with two acts and an intermission and offers those new to the stage (or who have been in hiding for awhile) an opportunity to engage in a bit of dialogue with the audience, and meet others in their community.
A percentage of the audience and fellow performers will be encouraged to mark comments down on pre-designed forms after each act is presented, and at the conclusion of the show Hottie McNaughty and Sydni Deveraux will condense and share with each performer privately after the show, either same night or at a later date. Blood Rhinestone Productions will be inviting prominent members of Seattle's burlesque community to be present and offer suggestions via comment forms as well; giving much needed mentoring in our community.
Blood Rhinestone Productions is a progressive and classically irreverent coalition of artists. Produced by Hottie McNaughty and Sydni Deveraux, we encourage integrity and artistic expression throughout our community with fair wages and charity shows that benefit the Pacific Northwest.
BENEFITS:
*Constructive criticism in a safe environment
*Invite your friends to come support you
*Perform in a well-run show
*Meet other performers and join our community
*Performers will be paid $40 for two acts or $25 for one act
*Have the choice to show 1 act or 2 for constructive commentary
*Shows are limited to 8 acts per show (4 per half) in order to get the most out of the experience
If you are interested in being in The Wiggle Workshop, please email BloodRhinestoneProductions@yahoo.com with performer name, real name, how you can be contacted, the acts you want to present (colors, themes, length of music, mood), and what you are hoping to learn.
