Conditioning has an undeniable effect on the human mind.

For instance, due to autocrossing, I feel a little bit of pensive anxiety driving 12 inches away from traffic cones at 20mph. Whizzing by them at 50mph 2 inches away triggers the excitement and joy of autocrossing for me, though.
