Okay, so I'm gonna tell you more about my family. They are a great bunch of lunatics.
I have a big brother who is 45. He still plays in a country blues rock band called Gibson Seville. I like 'em ... they remind me of Willie Nelson. So anyway, when I was a little teenager, he was a big influence on me. I guess my brother's life looked an awful lot like the movie Wayne's World. Here is a picture of Christian now, at Guitar Center. *sigh* I'm sorry to say, that is so him. But he's still a cutie. And he is the quintessential nice guy. I really love him.
I also have a sister, who is almost the same age as me. She married a guy who is 24 and they seem to be happy with that arrangement. This was us, years ago, at the Ren Faire. She is pretty busy with the young dude these days so I don't see her much ... I really love her, too.
My parents ... hmmm ... this picture from 1969 should pretty much explain it all. My mom shopped for my school clothes at the thrift shop. I suppose I should explain that this was not the popular way to shop for clothes in the early 70's. They are both dead now. I miss them a lot. I was born in Northeast Los Angeles and stayed there until I was 7, then we moved to North Hollywood. My father was born here (Lincoln Heights) in 1926 and my grandmother was born here in 1902. I'm as local as they come in Los Angeles.
I have gone through many, many phases over the years so I guess I'm just a big ol' poseur ... but even saying that, I cannot quite explain what this was about. I think it was 1997. Drugs must have been involved. I do remember that I liked that ol' polyester shirt I had on, though. Probably spent too much money for it somewhere on Melrose. I crack myself up!
Tomorrow, maybe I'll tell you about my kids...
Love to you,
~Suzy

On another note, thank you for your kind words. Oh, and nice pictures. Your bro seems interesting and nerdy like my brother. hehe
