Okay, I'm gonna tell you about stuff that's cool...
I have three great kids. They torture me and I complain about them, but they are really fine human beings. My oldest son is a chef. My middle son is a musician. His band is called Tobias. They're pretty cool, good melodic power pop with an edge. My little one is only 6 ... he has red hair and he loves *anything* Spiderman, even tattoos...
I work myself to death, but it keeps me busy and pays the bills. I have some cool jobs. By day, I am a PM at a software company. I basically do database programming on a highly proprietary product ... and have had to unlearn all logic I ever possessed to understand our configuration tools. But it's a living and it is a challenge. On the weekends, and sometimes in the evening, I get to photograph musical equipment and list it on eBay. I sit outside in the sunshine to do it because natural light works best. Below is the yard, a nice comfortable place.
Guitars are my favorite to shoot ... particularly this Gibson Les Paul, that sold about 2 weeks ago. I wanted to lay in a bed naked with that guitar.
And the drive is nice. I like driving my car through canyons and I have any number of choices of route. Last Sunday I took Beverly Glen, which comes out over the hill around UCLA. This is the view and the weather in LaLaLand right now. Not quite convertible weather yet, but it is pleasant.
After passing UCLA, you turn left on Wilshire and drive through Beverly Hills. There are a lot of very cool buildings. I promise to shoot some more of these drives soon. Los Angeles is amazing!
The drive, of course, no matter which direction I go, includes a stop at Urth Caffe for a Spanish Latte and a pastry.
I also fix people's computers when they break. #1 cause of an expensive housecall? Online porn ... hehehe. Did you know that sometimes I barter? I really love my job!
But what can I tell you? I'm a really big geek.
I came from humble beginnings. Okay, the picture is a trailer that actually houses members of my extended family, right now, today, but my family didn't have enough money to own a trailer when I was growing up!
My pad is pretty boring, but here is one shelf: Cookbooks and a Mustek promo clock are visible ... there are technical manuals, more cookbooks, Beatles mugs, a picture of my kid in a cowboy hat, a Windows XP baseball, and silver vases filled with pens and other administrative equipment in the bookcase to the right.
I have a bunch of other stuff that is cool about my life, but it will have to wait for another day.
